Between 160 to 145 million years ago, a genus of dinosaurs called Mamenchisaurus roamed the planet. These dinosaurs were known for their very (very!) long necks that took up half their total body length! In this piece, the left-hand mimics the weight (60,000 pounds) and length (65 feet) of the Mamenchisaurus through a strong, steady pulse and the “very large steps” it takes (in octaves!).
