This piece is all about second chances: the opportunity to try again, and to redeem yourself. Life isn’t fair and so often we wish we could just have that opportunity for a do-over. Time moves forward and we’re never exactly in the same place that we were before, but we can continue to improve and apply what we learned towards what is coming up next. Note: this piece was written for Doreen and happens to be in the Dorian mode, which is equivalent to the natural minor scale (aka the Aeolian mode) but with a major sixth.
