I don’t think we ever grow out of hearing stories. They are built upon their creators imagination and emotion, beautiful places taking shape out of nothing but the minds of those who tell them. To play this piece fully, you must craft a story with in the music. The different moods of the piece create a vague picture, as if seem through smokey glass, but you must paint in the details. Look at the dynamics, the textures, the ranges of both notes and movements. What is this story to you?
